The Full Picture - Further education for movement teachers

The Full Picture

A Deep Dive into Spinal Intelligence

  • for Movement Professionals -

How to facilitate transformation?

You know how to move people. But do you know what’s organizing the movement?

This full-day intensive is for experienced movement professionals — yoga teachers, personal trainers, coaches, intelligent movers and dedicated yogis — who’ve hit the ceiling of what their training taught them about the body.

The client whose pain keeps migrating. The restriction that won’t respond to stretching. The nervous system that’s visibly locked up while you’re running out of tools.

This workshop gives you what most movement education skips: the relationship between spinal alignment, nerve supply, and your client’s capacity to actually change.

Three practitioners. Three lenses. One integrated day.

What does this day look like?

Forward bending and the lower spine - Pralaya Yoga by Marlies de Koning

The morning opens with an advanced Pralaya Yoga practice focused on forward bending mechanics — working opposing muscle systems to decompress joints rather than just stretching what’s tight.

Anatomy lecture on spinal intelligence - A Chiropractic background by Jonathon Narlock

Over lunch, a hands-on anatomy lecture breaks down how spinal alignment determines nervous system communication to muscles and organs — including interactive partner work so you can feel it in your own body.

Backbending and the art of decompression - pralaya Yoga by Laika Buser

The afternoon closes with an advanced backbending practice that integrates everything you’ve just learned into lived experience.

What you will take away

You’ll leave understanding why your clients get stuck, not just where — and with a fundamentally different lens for everything you teach from Monday onwards.

Your teachers

Marlies de Koning — Pralaya Yoga teacher and movement educator with deep expertise in the opposing muscle systems approach to joint health

Dr. Jonathan Narlock — Doctor of Chiropractic whose education encompasses the same foundational training hours as medical doctors, specializing in spinal alignment and nervous system function

Lunch, tea, coffee

We will provide you with fresh filtered water, herbal teas and a light snack in the morning and afternoon.

During lunch we will get a healthy soup ready with bread or other small additions. Be sure to take your favourite food if you are a hungry person, otherwise a light soup lunch can be enough for the light eater.

We have two toilets ready, no dressing room or showers (as of this moment). There is a large yoga room and a small improvised space for lunch and lecture. Be sure to take only what you need into the space.

During lunch some seats are provided but the main elements to be seated on will be yoga blocks or cushions.

The yoga space has basic yoga mats (regular size), blankets and yoga cushions. When you have your own yoga mat (wide size especially) and yoga blocks, please take them with you.
